looks VERY cool. Do you have a cover over that, I feel that you'd lose a lot of water to evaporation. But that doesn't bother some people.

its got no cover on but thats not a bad idea gives me something to do this afternoon thanx

is that any better than a wet dry? the video really doesnt say how well it performs compared to other ways of filtration
 
this is alot better then a wetdry. tons of bacteria growth all over the media

this is exactly how large bio reactors work. lots of oxygen, lots of surface area, win win
 
Wow, I like it. How does it perform over time? If the media loads up with bio, do you have to adjust your air flow into the reactor?
 
Trev and I both run the same bio reactors,and they never have any type of mulm build-up whatsoever,been running for almost three years without having to change airstones even once.I run a large diaphragm airpump that creates massive movement never allowing any type of negative buildup.
