After many years of wanting, waiting and residing to the fact that I may never be the owner of my very own Fly River today the dream came true and he is a beautiful specimen.
I was in an LFS where you quite often see FRT's but they never seem to be for sale (anymore, always shop pets) anyway the assistant said "that ones for sale you know?" Is it, it will be to much for my pocket. Its a customers and he's going travelling to Thailand this evening he doesnt want much as he needs the cash..............how much? £250
within an hour I was packing it in to a poly box ready for the trip home.
Not only was it a bargain it is also a perfect specimen - approximately 12" nose to tail, 9" shell beautiful colour and condition, no scars, no shell rot and clear shell growth can be seen.
Its the biggest, the best & cheapest one i've ever seen
man what a great day
Any advice would be cool as I'm little in-experienced on this subject. Unfortunately I wont be able to keep it long term as i cant offer it a bigger tank long term
It is currently swimming very freely around in my 100g corner unit, my NTT and Clown Loach shoal are a bit put out by there new tank mate, but he has settled in fine and eaten 2 mussels, and a grape.
