A DUmb Question

I bought a a used light fixture for my tank today at the LFS. . It has a blue Light which is for the corals, But until i get a new light strip would it do bad for the freshwater fish to have the blue light on. Thanks

I used to think it might be a problem, but I have a FW nano-tank with 50/50 lighting, and it works fine and looks great . . . really brings out the colors in both the plants and fish . . .
