Thanks guys. It is astyanax bimculatus. A very old female about 6-7”.

Only able to get those pics because she isn’t very active anymore. She stays on this one spot swimming vertically. Think it’s because her swim bladder was damaged after a big Freddy got her.

Thanks! I highly recommend them. If you do, make sure you get a good sized group. When the group gets smaller, they get pretty aggressive. I also wouldn’t use them as dithers for cichlids. Too hard to replace if a cichlid kills one. They aren’t cheap fish either. That’s my regret. Keeping them w/ less aggressive cichlids is better. But not too peaceful cichlids or they’ll be picked on. They will nip fins and catfish whiskers. Not really the best community fish but very worthy of a species only tank ?
