So yeah i had a spare tank and i had never tried the invert aspect of the hobby so i said eh why not. Ive done some basic care research but the search engine on the App sucks so i figured ide just ask.

1. I have a tiny half in guppy fry left in the tank. Will he eat any shrimp babies?

2. What do baby cherries look like? Like hatchlings, ive seen 1/4" babies but cant tell if the little flea/bug things are shrimp or some sort of pods.

3. I have a submersable filter. Its on the other side of the tank divider. The divider is those plastic lees tank dividers. Will the babies still get sucked up? If so what do i switch too?
Sponge?

4. My plants have snails, do they pose any threat to the shrimp?

5. the hatchling shrimp eat what?

Btw its a 10g and i started with 20 shrimp.

Guppies may eat baby shrimp, but if you have lots of plants they may make it.
CS babies hatch right off of their mother and look like tiny replicas of adult CS. You will know what they are when you see them.
They may get sucked up in the filter if they get through the holes (they are tiny). You can cover the intake with a sponge.
Snails make great tank-mates for CS. I have rabbit snails with mine.
Baby CS eat algae just like their parents. If you have plants/mosses, they should be fine.
Keep up with water changes too ;)

If he can, he will :) Do you have plants in the tank? If so, they will likely survive.

Identical to adults, just smaller. They move the same as adults. You are probably seeing some sort of copepod. They commonly occur if you are accidentally overfeeding yoru shrimp.

I prefer a sponge filter, specifically one of the Poret block filters.

Nope
5. the hatchling shrimp eat what?
Same as the parents, be cautious of overfeeding and invertebrates are really intolerant to shifting parameters, including nitrates.

You can sell the babies on aquabid.

I feel bad selling them so small. I rather sell people decent sized shrimpies. And i forgot to mention i took the guppy out long ago. :)
