1)what size will they begin to breed?
2)what water paraams should they breed?
3)how can i sex the males from females?
4)would a male firemouth breed with a female con?

Around 4-6" iirc, just about any water paramters as long as they're not in stressful conditions, i don't know about the rest though.

I've had them breed for me as small as 1.5". It wasn't a very big spawn and only a few fry survived however.

They bred in my hard well water for me. 80F.

My males were constantly fighting to it was easy to tell, but generally the males well get longer streamer fins and have more colour, especially more red.

It is possibly, but might not be likely if there are other firemouths for the fish to breed with.

1) they can breed as small as 3" in common.
2) preferably 85F
3) Firemouth are quite easy to sex; Male has fire red throat and females have orange.
4) I don't know but very unlikely.
