It's been a while since I posted any pictures. It's so hard to get good point-and-shoot pictures with hungry, active fish.
Apologies for the flash reflections and water spots.
First off, I have some new little Geophagus 'orange head' babies from Ken Davis that were bred by Peter (peathenster). I got them less than a week ago and they are TINY, but so cute. They love Hikari Micro-Wafers and bloodworms.
Next up are some little severum grow-outs that I saved from a spawn back in November 2009. I posted about them in this thread. I only saved 12, but they look pretty good now. They're over 1" and starting to show spots and stripes. They're in a 55 gallon grow-out tank with some wild Laetacara dorsigera from Rapps.
On to the new 210 gallon. It's in my fishroom and it's not really decorated; I just have play sand in the bottom and some driftwood that I finally got to sink completely. The tank is mostly various severums, but I also have a chocolate cichlid, a couple Mesonauta, and a couple uaru (I didn't get any pictures of them because they were hiding in the back, chewing on driftwood).
Turquoise male (I know, they aren't considered a separate fish anymore, but he doesn't look as light or as green as "green" severums). This is the father of the grow-outs I posted above.
Heros severus 'Atabapo'
My male super red
Lastly are Krobia sp. 'Xingu orange spot' from my 150 gallon. Their tankmates include some keyholes, adult L. dorsigera, a few young severums, two female Mesonauta (separated from the males above), and Hoplarchus psittacus grow-outs that I got as tiny fry from Ken Davis in January. I didn't grab any shots of the other fish; the tank doesn't have lights on it and everyone was half-asleep when I was trying to get these shots. The Krobia have come a long way since I got them here.
