a gaggle of SA cichlids including Geo Altifron, Geo. Surinamensis Sp. and Cren. Venezuala. the nice thing here is you can see a clear difference between the Altifron and the Surinamensis.

nice fish and tank. surprised that tat is doing okay in there. esp like the creni :D

Thanks!

The Tat. is one of a pair and whilst the Cren. is an awesome fish, i have had it for just 2 and a half months and it has grown 4". It was the same size as the small Geo. Brasiliensis when i got it and whilst it is not my first choice, I'm afraid he might have to go. The Tats still rule the tank or the moment.

I guess i am a victim of the spur of the moment purchase situation- you see a fish like a pike cichlid and you jsut can't help yourself.... Oh and it is quite possibly the greediest fish i have ever owned. He is a FAT fish...

cool, my tat was a little biznitch and got punked by a bichir.

yep, venz can easily grow 2" per month and get over 20", so it won't last forever in there. pikes are one of my fav fish

Thanks Bruce. From what i have read on here a Dicrozter is a Surinamensis (group) Species, jsut like an Altifron, hence my inclusion of the Sp. at the end but if thats the case, all the better as i am happier to have a positive ID rather than a rough guess.

Cheers!
