Well...only the Walther P22 is new, made in '07.

The Makarov (my current carry pistol) was made in 1988, the Russian SKS was made in 1950, the Finnish M39 was re-barreled in 1944 but the receiver was made in 1905, the M91/30 was made in 1939! The old stuff is so nice! :headbang2

Cool. Makarov's are nice pistols for the money. And those M91/30's are a super deal. I don't think you can go wrong buying one. There's an online surplus house that has them damn cheap right now.

The Russian SKS I bought NIB with all original accessories! Its rare to see them with their original box, unfired, and original accessories these days..even has the unfilled warranty card! I am going to hang on to this one with out shooting it for awhile!

The M91/30 is a little specieal....it is a triple date MO Marked as well as DDR marked rifle...pretty freaking rare. I love the M39 too...its unissued and unfired...just BEAUTIFUL!

I came pretty close to picking up a Makarov at the last show that I attended. How much was yours if you dont mind?

Very nice, this is my kind of New Pick Up thread...

Hehe I got it right. I purchased an AK kit recently for $100 and traded the kit for the pistol.

I think either J&G or SOG has new, unissued, Maks for like $280 right now. Not a bad deal at all. I fondled a CZ-82 ( like a mak but double stack mags, better sights, and better ergos) and Im really debating on selling my mak for the CZ-82. I like the 9x18 round as compared to the 9x17 round (.380) cause I can actually find it and its cheaper! I picked up 100rds of JHP at the Machine Gun Shoot last weekend for $20!

Hey which AK's do you have again if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah I would go CZ-82 just for the higher capacity. AIM has them used for $220.00. I thought about getting one but after considering I've been looking spending a bit more and getting a new Bersa Thunder 9 High Cap.

I have a Romy AKM-47, Bulgarian AKS-74, Polish PMKMS-47, Romy RPK-47, Romy PSL, and a Saiga 12. The last three of course are not really AKs but are based off the design.

Honestly, I would rather put my life on a CZ-82 over the bersa. The CZ-82s and Maks are Reliable with a capitol "R"! They, especially the CZ-82 with it polygonal rifling are very accurate. They are pretty heavy though...Also a plus is that you really wont loose any money on a mil surp.

Good deal. They are pretty cheap at the shows, rarely over two hundred dollars for used ones but we have'nt had any shows come through in a few months.
