- how fast do they grow from juvenile stage? juvenile being as in still having its fuzzy gills.

- how large do they grow in captivity?

- the largest tank mentioned in the primer is the 180 gallon 6' x 2' x 2'. so does that mean that that is the largest someone would ever need for even the biggest of bichirs?.... including an endlicheri.

-It varies when they lose their gills, and even their growth rate varies, but you can expect them to grow to about 10-12" within the first year.

- Maximum size varies as well, so if you are providing the proper sized tank and water quality, then captivity has no bearing on the maximum size of the fish, only the conditions of that captivity. Expect 18-20".

- Although 30" wide tank would be better, I have seen pictures taken by CDM with a huuuuge congicus in a 180g
