I've been snowed in for two days, so I threw together a synopsis of three of my tanks.

Biotope: Suriname River
Stock: 6 S. leucosticta, pair of Geophagus brokopondo, 24 Hemigrammus erythrozonus, and 10 Pristella maxillaris.

I'm a huge fan of single species tetra shoals, but I decided to try a lopsided two species group. They segregate themselves fairly strongly by species, which makes it kind of cool to watch.

My camera does terrible full tank shots, so here's a video that shows it a lot better...

Biotope: Rio Uruguay
Stock: pair of Gymnogeophagus balzanii and 10 fry (well not anymore)

This one is basically being used to grow out the fry that I left in there. I'll probably keep 2 pairs of them and move the rest. I'm hoping to add some tetra or livebearers eventually, just haven't settled on what type.

Full tank shot (the tank had pikes in it before, I wouldn't normally scape it like this for G. balzanii, I just liked it so I left it)

Biotope: Rio Cuareim
Stock: 3 Crenicichla celdiochilus, 2 Crenicichla minuano, 1 Sorubim lima

This is tank is for breeding C. celidochilus. The C. minuano are basically dithers and before the "winter period" is over, I'm going to remove the catfish.
