Since being moved to the big tank two months ago he has had a considerable growth spurt, hardly surprising given the extra space, and I'm feeding prawn as well as the staple Hikari sticks. His fins have this sort of 'ragged' look to them, and I can only presume it is from the rapid growth as it certainly isn't physical damage or a water quality issue. I'm pleased with the amount of colour he is retaining too.
