Lighting is a bit hot of a few of them, but def not bad work for the hardware you're using

I think the pic's are nice what does it mean when you say the lighting is hot???

It means that image is overexposed. On some parts of your fish you can see a bit to much white color.

I agree. How can I make this less of a problem?

Photography is an art based on timing. If you have perfect timing then your capture can surely deliver the message that you want to. If you have a good subject and skill then your photography can be strongest of all.
