My lilly is blooming for the first time this season so I figured it's a good time to share my pond with you. It's not anywhere near as clean as some I've seen on here. I'm 10 miles from NYC and have seen herons, wild turkeys, and migratory birds enjoying it. A bullfrog even moved in ...don't know where he came from! Unfortunately, I lost all of my larger koi/orfs this winter.

A little work stilll needs to be done like hiding the liner by the waterfall and adding more plants. This summer I removed all the plants from their baskets and planted them in pea gravel along the shelf; this works much better and allows the plants to grow.

About 20' long, 10' across and 5' at its deepest.

Sucks about the Koi...

My lillies are now big enough so I don't have to worry about the Herrons anymore. He got 2 of my biggest goldfish this spring. I usually keep a few sections of PVC in the bottom of the pond in early spring/late fall so the fish have a few hiding spots.

Pond looks good....

Thats a great lookin pond

thanks i think it will be better once i get more marginals on the shelf. plants are sooo expensive though; i really hate paying for weeds.

i stuff the waterfall with anacharis and water hyacinth - keeps the water crystal clear with minimal algae.

looks alright but sorry i dont like the tiny stones around the edge , some large and mid size ones would be nicer .

Ill get rid of your herrin problem :naughty:.
