And @unrated..i think that is a Myth because all my cichlids live fine and have never eaten not uprooted my plants..lol i got lucky with them and i have 10 cichlids, one night goby one armatus ,one large frontosa,two angels,6 peacocks, two Plecos one at almost 16 inch the other 6 inch, and one butterfly tetra, also some shrimp and a craw

I think a lot of it depends on the fish's personality too, just like aggression. I've kept planted tanks for a while and some cichlids leave plants alone while others are constantly rescapping your tank for you which is extremely frustrating. Haha

Its a beautiful tank. I love driftwood so I say go for it. Maybe tie some java moss on and let it grow.
