1. What is the purpose of his trailers? Are they like his whiskers? Can he sense things with it?

2. Am I feeding him enough? I only feed my Tig three times a week. He only eats market shrimp and krill. I buy large prawns, cut small slits into it with a knife and stuff it with Massivore pellets and NLS pellets for nutrition. Being a carnivore, is pellet stuffing necessary or do the shrimp alone give him enough nutrition? I've had him eleven months and he's grown from 6" to about 13".

3. Are all Tigs as aggressive as mine? He won't let any fish in the tank near him. He bites them and flings his body around like crazy to shoo them away.

Cant really say about its trailers,Pellet stuffing is great as long as it is eating them(there is never to much protien)and quite honestly i have never owned a Tig just a reg Shovelnose but my shovelnose has never shown any aggression and i have never heard of a Tig being aggressive,Basslover would know more about this.

Yeah I stuff as many pellets as I can into a prawn and he gulps the whole thing down. I can stuff at least 8 large Massivore pellets (or twice that many NLS) into a shrimp body. I leave the shell on but cut the tip of the tail off. He'll even eat it right out of my hand. And he only eats 3, 4 at the most, times a week. Is that enough?

Aggrressionwise, he's the meanest fish in the tank. Not that he chases other fish around but if they get near him he's very quick to bite them. The only fish that he will let near him is the longfin senegal....I don't know why but he ignores that fish. Every other fish is the enemy as far as he's concerned. At least he can't really hurt the other fish since he don't have teeth but they certainly run away from him when he bites hahaha.

Trailers.....does anyone know about them?

1. I am not sure about the trailers. Tigrinus live in very swift currents, it could be something to do with judging water flow direction/speed. Just a thought.

2. That is enough for the tig to be eating. However, I always took the shell off the shrimp and then cut it in pieces.

3. My tig's were never aggressive to the point were i could not keep any fish with them. Sometimes other catfish sharing the tank would get a beat down at night, but I never had problems with mid-level, top water fish.
