I had kept my 3" LMB in my 20 gal for about 4 weeks, however hes at 4.5 so I had to dump him into my 120gallon. This also meant transfering the danios and serpae tetra from the 120 gallon into my many other smaller tanks. The only inhabitants of the 120 are 4 3" gouramis which will beat the heck out of my sunnys if they invade into their territory, 2 3 inch sunnys, 2 .75 inch sunnys that hide alot, 1 large pleco that I've had for 9 years, and of course the bass. All of the fish except the bass will eat flake/tablet foods, and the bass is feed with live guppies injected with vitamins. However when I plop guppies in the tank, the sunfish ignore the flake and get to the guppies before the bass can eat them.
Before anyone tells me to train the bass on carnivore tablets, I tried for awhile, but was unsuccessful and the bass looked pretty weak. He will eat live fish, worms, and crickets, and thats it. I think I will move up to fat head minnows since they are bigger than guppies. So should I be using larger sized gut loaded fish to make sure the sunfish can't eat the feeders?
