a few random ck questions

hi every one im new to this place i have had my ck for about 1.5 years

he does some wierd things like my lil bro was eating breakfast on the couch and the tank is at the back of the couch and the clown knife jumped out of the tank and landed on his plate and still lived but is that normal for him to jump he only jumped out once but he comes to the surface and jumps kinda like a dolphin"it may be spelled arong" is that normal


some one at my lfs told me to add salt to the tank i just kinda guess and add about 2 cups for 55 gal they all seemto be fine with it i was just making sure that the ppl at the store was right so any help would be greatful

its normal that they go up to the surface with a splash but not out of the tank, maybe he got spooked?

Wouldn´t worry about it if it doesnt happen again.

mine often shoots to the top and takes air causing a splash but has never come out of the water maybe he didnt know how fast he was going. haha.
keep your lids on.

They don't jump often. They come up to get a gulp of air from time to time, but it should be fine. 2 cups of salt sounds like a lot to me, but I usually eyeball my measurements.
