Ok so the pet shop by me is going out of business and they have a 20gall tank with a whole in the back right corner, will this work as a sump on my 90gal, also what is a good type of sump skimmer that I could put in there, and any help would be appreciated

The hole in the back right corner would be most likely for a drain. So that it would go down to a sump. Not really one I would use for a sump.

It will work fine as a sump, just cap off the hole in the tank with a fitting bulkhead and cap cover...job done...

Agree, holes are unneccessary for a sump. I thought about holes for mine just to make things look neater but not worth the hassle.

what if i pipe the whole in the tank to a pump, and then the pump to a header in the top of the tank with about 5 or 6 holes in it as a distribution header.

Yeah you can do that, similar to the idea i had. Although it is alot easier to plug the hole and pump straight up to the header.
