A few troph questions

So I've decided on tropheus. Haven't decided on species. I'm either going for duboisi maswa, or moorii murago green. Any preference? Next, hwo many in a 55 gallon? I was thinking 10. I have an emperor 400 and a penguin 350 on the tank, and will be doing 50% water changes 2 times a week. Third, will trophs graze on brown algae, and if not, what algae will they grow on and how could I grow it?

Congrats they are fun, the moori tend to be more aggressive than the duboisi and ten seems like a good number for a 55, if you are buying adults get 2-3 male and the rest female if buying fry get about 20 and then thin out as they grow

I'm a fan of the duboisi I love there juvi patterns with the white spots and some keep them for a very long time even after there white stripe is fully grown in. I tried a small group of juvi 1" ina 10 and it just didn't work out, but am definatly planning to give them another shot once I can set up a more sutible larger species only tank. Id take the above advice on terms of stocking.
