A fish called Luhnkini

I was in a Petland the other day and saw a tank with fishes that looked like pbass, about 2"-3" and on the tank was a label "Luhnkini" and price was $9.99.

Is that the latin name for pbass? Did a search for it on the 'net and couldn't find anything on Luhnkini.

Anyone?

They are called "Lukenani" They are P Bass, and yes, this time of year they are all dirt cheap at 2 3 inches - This is a fantastic way to get some nice Pbass without worrying about what species you are getting.

Okay...thanks... I guess it was the spelling they got wrong? Anyway...I asked them and they weren't sure what it was, but its in the cichlid family..doh..

they are peacock bass that are farm raised in hawaii. typically cichla monoculus

Thanks. Wasn't sure if it was a pbass..it sure looked like one, and never seen that label referring to a pbass.
