is what I got today from a friend's friend. It's a mess. Anyone know what's the best way to clean off calcium build up? I'm probably going to just throw some bleach and water together and scrub it down. Any other suggestions?

I use vinegar. Almost melts it away.

id just use hot water and a sponge , it came form the water so water should take it away.

if it's glass, RAZOR BLADE:D
I use them on glass all the time and its the quickest way.

that sounds reasonable

Spray the glass with distilled white vinegar and scrape with a safety blade. Keep the glass wet with vinegar to keep the lime deposits in a semi-paste state. Once the razor no longer removes any lime, it's plain old elbow grease to remove the lime from surface scratches that the blade can't reach.

Free tanks are always the best, but you usally have to clean them up really good first and thats always a pain. Natural stuff like plain water or vinegar is always best.I wouldn't mind taking in a free dirty tank!
