hey just for fun i wanted to give a up date on a ray i have that was not doing well he had a large indentation on his head. i wrote a thread labeled hole in head. well i don't know what exactly happened, but i was told he probably would not make it and it was a sign of being malnourished. well here is a before an after sorry for the pics.

any thing and every thing it would eat,but mainly cut up red wigglers (trout worms) like at least for times a day. i don't know what it is but in my experience if you have a week ray with some illness if i cut it's food in really small pieces they are more prone to eat, of coarse this is not a cure all. i have still lost some rays. i had one ray that had gone on a food strike that was like 14"-15" did not eat for fourteen days thought she was a goner was cutting up smelt into 1/4" or so and still refusing food. then i split it in the middle and cut into 1/4" and it started to take food. don't know if that truly helps, but thats what i try to do now with any week or new ray.
