Welp, I STILL have a cluster of HRP babies...or I should say juvies. They're excitable and full of energy. And cute! Come up and waggle to get food (papa Mongo is in the tank with them). He herds a few of them for all the good it does...the kids are wild and everywhere. He rounds 'em up, they scatter and fight each other.
So the family is in Tango's old tank. Filters get cleaned every 2 days
. On the lower shelf is a large clear rubbermaid. There's a lid, but the tub bulges when filled so there's always a triangle shaped gap front and back. This is important.
I had ONE baby in the tub I managed to catch out of the main tank, who was becoming a rival for his brother (Momma Pip, she of the Trailer Park).
I go downstairs yesterday morning and there are TWO babies in the tub, jockeying around. So overnight one baby jumped the tank and fell into the tub through the opening! Funniest thing evah. So this one's a keeper...might name him Lucky. ?
