A future pair???

hi eveyone, this is the first time i've own pikes.
i got these two at my LFS for $8.50/each and i
believe they are Crenicichla Sveni, 2 inches long
and the guy who netted them for me said one is
a male and one is a female, can someone help
me confirm their ID and sex?? well here they are

The person at the fish store that sold you the fish has no clue what he was talking about. They are not even the same species let alone a pair. In all shots, the lower fish is Cr. sp. "Belly Crawler". In the last pic I think I can see a faint oceli in the middle of the dorsal indicating that it is a female.

The second fish is a Saxtiline group pike but does not look like Cr. sveni. It is showing a stress pattern so it's hard to be more specific as to what it may be. Taking some more pics over the coming days as it settles in will help. Based on the shape of the humeral spot it may be Cr. alta.
