A good catfish to raise...

Is there another type of catfish that looks as beautiful as the rtc but doesnt get as big??? probably a cat that grows to the same size as cichlas do...

wide mouth cats tend to be rally small or really big. 4 line pims are fun at around 6 inches

how about a sun/eclipse catfish? Very nice looking once larger and can reach 18 inches if housed in a proper sized tank, but they are slow growers

18 inches isnt to bad of a size. i think most cichlas max at around 20-24? i could be wrong

Achara cats (Leiarius marmoratus) are gorgeous in my opinion. I think they top out at about 30" as opposed to the 45"+ of the RTC. Maybe thats still too big...but they're really cool cats!
