what is a good and safe medicine to kill off any internal parasite on new fish, (puffer and datnoid) or should i just wait and see if new fish even has something during qt??

PraziPro has been highly recommended for internal parasites by some very experienced and knowledgeable aquarists. It's good as a preventive measure in the QT tank, and also for treating cases once they develop.

From what I've learned, PraziPro won't harm shrimp, and is generally safe.

It can be ordered from Dr. Foster & Smith -- online or mail-order catalog.

I usually use prazi and metro on new wild caughts. I start out with the prazi because it can be added to the water while you are letting the fish settle in and start eating. After that, I do a couple large water changes over a few days, and start with metro in the food.
