as ive said before... im soon to be getting a new tank, it was supposed to be a 4x2x2. and i know this should be in another forum, but its all for my sens, and nobody know sens like the polypterus forum regulars
anyway are hard to come by. without being super expensive anyway. not for the tank, but for a stand, was even thinking of extruded aluminium that is used for supporting machinery, but no dice.
too expensive.
so ive considered my options, and have decided that my best bet will be a standard LFS setup. but the biggest available to me is 18" an wide, which hopefully will still be big enough for my fish (2 sens, a bumble bee cat, an oscar, and maybe a few silver dollars) which i hope to keep till the end of their days...
but there is some good news. the tank is a jewel rio 300, and is available to me online with free delivery for £450 all in. or the 5ft version for £550, which is tempting, but is still 18" wide.
my biggest worry is the filter. i dont know if it will be able to cope with my fish. it says its one of the biggest internals available, with 3 separate buckets for filtration media. the turnover is around 1000 LPH, but can be upgraded to a 1500 LPH with a different powerhead.
i was also gonna run my fluval 4plus too, as an added boost... essentially doubling the turnover.
is it a good deal? i need guidence from others.
