The worm in the pictures was excised from that exact minnow and that is just a little one. Fish tapeworms can attain an ultimate length of 30 ft! Makes ya kinda want to vomit huh.
 
Nice find bella, i don't feed fish to the rays. but if I did it would be bred by me, so I know they are safe to eat.

Wow. Can you see the worms in the fish while they are still alive? How did you find it or even know it was there?
 
and I thought minnows is safer then feeder goldfish. Good things I don't feed them live fish, or else they would go after my other fish when they get hungry :).
 
Very good point!....just one good reason why feeding live or prekilled prey to your fish may not be a good idea,if your going to do it freeze them first,some would say that doesnt kill all the nasties but its worked for me,i always freeze aquatic food items before feeding,especially fish.
