A GREEN ARO need HELP!! if possible

greetings to all the pros...

i went to dis fish shop & the store keeper selling a Green Aro at very cheap price at 20"-22" only dat the fish has cloudy eyes on both side + torn fins!! the body colour also everything else is fine.
I can say the cloud area almost coverd 60% of the eyes...so my question, is there any possible cure for the fish? will take a pic n will post it later!

Yes, clean water will help clear out the eyes and fins will heal. You can try pennicilin(sp) for cloudy eye treatment as well. Just make sure the aro is eating before buying it.
 
hmmm...i tink i shud post pic before making any decision!! the store keeper told me the fish is untreatable!!! bt i also nt sure
 
My green has gotten cloudy eyes a few times. Mostly I think from when I went too long between water changes. All times, a large water change cleared it up within a day or so. In my experience, green aros are pretty hardy, even when small. Good luck whatever you decide!
 
so meaning its treatable? shud give it a shot on getting the fish?? any other advice for the pros especially??

it should be treatable. water changes and adding meds(salt,sp) will clear its eyes up.
 
yeah, i had a synodantus cat and for a few other fish the same thing happened, even to my wild discus, with good water changes it went away, just had to closely monitor the water quuality but it cleared up
