Good day.

I have adopted an 8" ornate from my friend. He just gives it away because of the hump that grown on its side and its tail have been siriusly nipped.
I don't have a picture of the Ornate yet but to describe its appearance. it looks like it ate a super worm or a fish that humped on its side. its been there for months i don't know since when. I would like to seek your opinions whether this hump will flatten or go off and also the tail that is nipped to half.

I will upload pictures as soon as I got home tonight.

Thanks Guys in advance..!

does your ornate still eat and swim normally?try not feed bloodworms, but give something else which can be easily swallow.
just keep a regular water chance, and see how it goes, but keep an eye on the water chemistry.
I have similar problem with my lap, but the hump was under its neck, It was there for almost a month, and my lap didnt eat anything for that long. But later on the hump gone and my lap was back to normal.
As for the fins, I wouldnt worry so much about it since they can heal them self pretty quick.
