A life long friend

Meet Woody my Ornate Wood Turtle. He has been my friend for 21 years now. All I can say is that good friends are hard to find for us, imagine how hard it is for them.

He was full grown when I got him and that usually takes a good 10 years. Our best guess on age is around 35 or 40.

WOW, 21 years! I wish everyone had your mentality when it comes to keeping herps. I applaud you . Did you have any major health issues with him over the years? What do you feed?

Congrats! You got me beat. I have had my two female Eastern Box Turtles for 18 and 19 years. People are always suprised by how long some reptiles live. I think if you just provide them all their needs and then some they can live a long, happy life. Keep up the good work!
