NYC - QUEENS
HI GUYS !!!

I'm a new to this - however have some experience with discus - I wanted to ask how fast does the levels of ammonia buildup in a tank with RAYS - I know it may depend on filters and all but like generaly speaking :

how many rays could I keep in a 125 gal tank with a 40 gal wet-dry = over 160 total gal

Also - from which Ray should I start with ?

THANKS AND WAITING FOR YOUR REPLIES !

motoro's

there the ''bulls'' of the ray would in terms of price.. they are very hardy..
dont buy under 6"
size of the sump dosent matter as much as whats in the filter..

With rays 10g/Inch isn't a bad idea. So your tank would be addiquite for a 12-13 inch ray. That is the prefered size. As far as ammonia output you will want to change the water at least once a week I would guess, also net stools out whenever you see them.

rays are vicious eaters and they have a fast metabolism even though they may not do much at times. Rays will cause high bio load and with a 125 .Besides hysterix , reticulatus, and maybe motoro most of them will outgrow your tank in no time.
