no where
ok so i got the divider in ( as per my other thread ) so the cons have an area of a foot long by 18 wide, which should be big enough for them and there family that there raising and i have my magnum 350 going on there side ( and to cut out my old fish net to put over the intake and rubberband it to the intake ) so now the oscars have a 4 foot by 18 room ( well which is 90 gallons for them cause its 25 inches high ) so do you think this will work in the long run? i only have 2 oscars and 4 black skirts and a few diff livebarers on the oscars side. and the pair of cons and there frys on the other side. the oscars are more active then ever since the cons dont bother them anymore! oscars are 6 and 6 1/2 inches.well comment away!

cant get the 55 cause we wont have no way of hauling it and no place to put it. the 40b ( 3 foot ) will just sit in the corner of my room empty for awhile. i talked to my grandad first and he said its fine so i went and talked to my grandmother and shes like * will you have the money? * i was like yea i will. then she said action talks more then words. so i am most likly gunna get a 40 breeder!!

if i do set this new tank up by october or nov, it will most likly house my pair of convicts in there alone. with a magnum 350! think that will be good enough filteration?
or i may do a livebearer tank! most likly a livebearer tank with a couple growout cons ( males to go in with my 112 ) as soon as this batch of cons grow out ( and the pair dont lay anymore eggs before i get rid of her ) ill get rid of all the females and keep 2 or 3 male cons ( plus the dad ) and the 40b will be a livebearer tank with corys ( any idea on which kind? im thinkin 6 albinos and 6 bronze as thats all i can find around here ) and 10 cherry shrimps 10 ghost shrimps and 3 swordtails ( and let mother nature bloom on frys! ) 10 guppys ( 2 males 8 females ) 6 platys ( 1 male 5 females ) 6 mollys ( 1 male 5 females ) how does that sound?? so to sum it up:40B-filteration, magnum 350- and the basic hood light with the followin stock:6 mollys 6 platys3 swordtails10 guppys 6 albino ( cant find the scientific name ) corys6 bronze10 cherry shrimps10 ghost shrimpsand thats it! how does that sound? thats if i decide not to do the convict tank.

No offense LBF, but i really think you need to sort yourself out before worrying about setting up more tanks for more fish...

:iagree: You really need to trim your stock down to non-breeding fish so that you only have those fish without the extra hassle of dividers, fry or extra tanks to worry about. It is all about priorities.

I don't think you should even get one extra tank even to store, mainly because I think you will be incapable of holding back from buying fish. You have stated in previous threads about how this is your final stock so you can get your life sorted properly but here I am seeing glimpses of the old you with dividers, extra tanks and needless breeding.
All of which you are in no position to cope with if what you have stated in previous threads is correct.

As to the question, I don't think it will work longterm because you will be overflowing with cons and from what I can gather most lfs in the states won't even take cons for free there are so many availible. Also remember that oscars can hit around the 14" mark so two of them in a 48x18" footprint is cruel.

^ i agree too.

One, very nice tank with fish you really like >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 10 tanks you can't take care of very well with dividers every where.

I would really just stop buying tanks man. Have one tank that you are really proud of and pour your money into that. Not into getting even more tanks
