I have a 6" notatus that got startled during feeding last week. Was wondering what you guys would recommend to help it heal a little quicker. I've been doing 20-40% water changes daily but that's it.IMG_20160312_094050.jpg IMG_20160312_094046.jpg

Keep doing what you're doing. Clean water it will heal itself.

So I don't need to be adding any Epsom salt or anything? I'm only asking cause I was gonna go buy some when I got off of work.

+1......besides, he looks fine from the picture...at least I'm not seeing any physical damages

I agree it looks OK. Maybe get some aquarium salt to have on hand, but clean water is the key.

That's not bad. I had a chunk missing with flesh showing on one of my fish. Clean water and add some salt. Usually clears up within a week or two for me. If you have another established tank I would put him in there if your worried.

I'm not at all worried about him in the tank hes in. I'm just pretty inexperienced with something like that. To me it looks bad.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll be picking up some Epsom salt on my way home.

Not Epsom salt regular salt uniodized. You can get kosher salt at the supermarket or aquarium salt at the LFS.
