Ok, so I originally had a plan to stock my tank with neons, apistogramma and otocinclus... I ran into money problems and was unable to purchase apistos because I could not afford to have them shipped across the country.

My current stock is 4 serpae tetras, 12 neon tetras and 4 otocinclus in a 29 gallon tank with dimensions of 12 deep, 18 tall, and 30 wide. I want a nice centerpiece fish, I'm also trying to keep in South American themed, it is a well planted tank with 3 separate filters and a 65 W coralife light.

Please any suggestions will help, and I am very open to hearing new ideas as I am relatively new to all of this. I can post a pic if that will help..

Thank you for your time and help. :)

I was thinking rams would be a perfect fit for it. They are relatively small and I could get a few females and a male to try and mate them. Might be a fun little project. I was thinking that the tank could use a little movement up top as the tetras all tend to stay in the middle and the otos never move. Maybe cloud minnows or something ? Would I be able to get both?

Check your local Petsmarts for new fish, they are trying out new fish, so you might get lucky and find exactly what you want (even if you don't know what that is yet)
