Liplocking
liplocking and holding are courting rituals in cichilds, now if they locked up and jerked and keep coming unlocked and going back at it then yes they are fighting over territory but when they lock up and just hold it, that is the female initiateing the lockup testing his strength out that is why you'll see them almost pull each other, if she can pull him a considerable distance then he is too weak

Tailshaking
In an aquarium environment in a lot of species of cichlids, especially oscars the male starts to "peacock" so-to-speak brighten is colors, fan out all of his fins, puff himself up to say "look how big and pretty I am," and start to shake his tail like it is chivering I guess you would say, and if the female takes the slightest interest she will sometimes display back at him in a submissive position alot of times kind of under him and on her side (now the roll over on her side and kind of lay down only happens most of the time in tanks its a little different in a pond or big body of water)

Tailwhiping
This is used in males sizing each other up for a territorial dispute and in courtship. The male puffs himself up and brightens his colors (in courtship not all the time in combat do the colors brighten) and waves his body I guess you would say, vigoriously forwards and backwards kind of hard to explain, what he is doing is forcing water over the females lateral line in a display of strength and power

Racing
This can only really be truly appreciated in a large body of water. This is in aquariums where sometimes you see in most cases the female but either will start if off sometimes, you'll see a short quick burst of speed just for no apparent reason sometime, but in a large body of water this actually is the start and usually turns into a syncrinized swimming display where they line their bodies up and lap the enclosure the whole time staying as one solidifying their in most cases short bond.

TO BE CONTINUED A LITTLE LATER, I'M TIRED OF TYPING LOL.... SRY
