Has anyone ever had a squirrel "bark" at them?




I started hearing this loud, repetitive noise outside while I was sitting next to my bedroom window on my bed, so I looked out the window and saw this HUGE squirrel in a tree about 6-10' away, staring at me... It was making this noise I can only compare to a cross between a chicken and a duck.

I thought it was hilarious... So after around 2 minutes of us staring at each other, I decided to start making noise back. It seemed a bit confused, but it continued for another 30 secs or so before running up the tree and jumping to another.







I thought it was pretty funny.

Yep. Never knew they made noise until one day on campus, I saw one trying to eat a plastic wrapper. I ran at it, trying to get it to drop it, and it flipped out on me.

Oh yeah they do it all the time. Get too close to one holed up in a tree and it gets upset.

They do it to me all the time when i hunt. they do it for an hour or so sometimes. just cant move and they wont bark. chipmunks do it too. its a higher pitch! alot more annoying.
