I got the JD from a friend it was in his 55 for a few months then it got to mean so he put it in a 12 gl for a few months then back to his 55.it's like 5 6in is it maxed out or is the fish stunted. Cause it does not seem to be growing

How big should my bichir be before I take him
out of a 12 gl

what size tank? Nothing really eats poop. If you are having a problem with that i suggest upgrading filtration.

if i remember this kids posts it's a 55. the texas may or may not work depending on the individual fish, and the bichirs probably should be 4-5 inches before being put in with that JD

What should I feed my bichir the last one I had ate floting pellets right away but this one hasn't eaten

frozen bloodworms are a great option, you can also usually get them to eat market shrimp and cut it in to very small bite sized pieces, just make sure if any shrimp goes un-eaten you take it out within 5 minutes of putting it in the tank or it'll foul your water up bad
