I snapped some pics last night of the 125. I have had the camera stashed away for a while because I've been looking for decent lighting. I finally got what I was looking for (a combination of the Current USA Satellite+ LED fixture, and the Finnex MonsterRay).

I wasn't able to edit any of the pics because for whatever reason photobuckets edit function isn't working right now so I'll just throw them up as is. I may go back and tweek them a bit later on.

Here we go. Aequidens metae (Yellow Acara).

This is the boss hog. The largest male of the bunch. He frequently keeps all of the others in check, and as you'll see in some other pics of them, they take some punishment at times.

The other male I think?

Some flaring :)

And the Red heads.

Still got some coloring up to do, but the two largest fish are looking really nice now.

The largest - he? looks good all the time, but rarely is pushy about establishing dominance. I think he's constantly taking a back seat to one or all of the metae who are starting to be a little more pushy... maybe getting ready to pair up and spawn? We'll see.

Sand sifting shot!

Second largest -

And a FTS.

Looks great.

Great looking acara and geo's

Thanks guys!

Great shots, especially if no editing was done. The metae look spectacular!!!

The geos look a bit off though, I think they are depressed you are insulting them by calling them redheads. :nono:

The sifting shot is awesome btw!

What's wrong with being a redhead? :D

What's wrong with being a redhead? :D

Not a thing when you are a hot chick.

But really, if you were a Tapajos 1, would you want to be called the same common name as one of the ugliest geo's out there? I wouldn't! I'd want my own, good looking common name aka orangeheads! Not a recycled one because I mean, look at them. They definitely aren't fugly!

Touche'. I guess I didn't know the difference. So these are G. sp Orangehead tapajos?

Redhead was just a name they added to try and sell more, the buggers.
