Hello everyone,

I recently just purchased a new 225 gallon for my frontosa colony of Kapampas who have been in a 72 gallon bowfront for a year in order to grow out. So now I have a 72 gallon bowfront that needs a new inhabitant....so my question is what???? Are there any polypterus or arowanas that can live comfortably in a 72. I already have a black ghost knife in a 75. I would really just like to get some sort of an odd and entertaining predator fish of some sort that is active. Any opinions and recommendations are welcomed and thank you in advance for your responses.

Have you considered any of the freshwater puffers? Some species are very active and require no salt. Another suggestion would be the needlefish XENETODON CANCILA. For a poly, I like the endlicheri, but polys are not very active IMO. I find all of these to be odd and entertaining.

Are there any species of polys or aro's would be comfortable in a 72 gallon??? Not real big on puffers, if I were to invest in a puffer it would definately be a saltwater species. I already have one saltwater tank, definately don't have the time to really invest in another one. How big does the endlicheri species get??? Thanks for your reply

A black arowana would be nice to have but you might have to upgrade to another tank in the future. Silvers get way too big.....Jardini's are pretty agressive arowana's. Don't mind me I love arowana's. Mine big one's in a 150 gallon.
