a new pair of oscars

decided to stock up again on oscars, and so far they've been growing well. i bought a pair...but sadly they aren't wild caught.

had them for a few months now, and they've grown very quickly. they are house in a 110gal for the meantime and have eheim canisters as filtration.

i was wondering if anyone knows what type they are? my last oscar was a tiger

Oh we're on the same page. I use a 2.0 megapixel cell phone camera. Haha.

they look like tiger oscars or maybe red oscar have them look in the mirror and if there colors change to yellow then they are red oscars and if they stay the same they are a tiger

Yeah. It's a hard call. They are probably an odd strain of reds. The pic makes them look like goblins, though. I like how black they are. Very solid-looking.

thanks i've had them since they were 2", feeding them on hikari gold since day 1 because i really want the black colour to stay, i love it that it's so intense. but my old oscar had the black faded out.
