Ok, so I had this Costa Rican Female Dovii from a fry to about 3 inches, then re-tanked her with a friend. Got her back today @ 6 inches and shes beautiful. The gold and blue are stunning.
The 3 inch firemouth I picked up today is a looker himself. I have never really liked these guys but when I saw this one and its colors, I had to get it...and it photographs really well.
They are in a 265 with trimac, festae, carpintis, a male Costa Rican dovii that I had the poll on a few days ago...and the firemouth isnt the smallest in the tank, the male dovii is.
Also, for you poor amateur photogs like me, I found a really cool $20 gadget that solves the flash blowout problem we all have with our auto flashes.
Its called the "Puffer" by gary fong.

It mounts on top of your camera in the empty flash holder (I have a Canon 20D) and covers the flash with a white plastic oblong shield that distributes the flash when it goes off. Works great!
