A New Pike for Me!!

Well my wife is on vacation overseas, so I decided it was time for a new fish.

I went to the LFS and picked up a ven...Sweet sweet fish. Its only about 3" now but this thing is going to be a monster. Eats like crazy, bosses around the lil con in the tank with it, tons of spunk...Comes to the glass everytime I get near the tank, something my older pike won't do.

How will it do with some CA cichlids....?sevrums and dempseys to be exact. The sev's are like small dinner plates, and the demps are prob around 5" right now.

Should be fine growin up with CA tankmates. As long as the other fish don't mess him up - at 3" it should be a while till he tears into his neighborhood buddies, if ever. It's surprising how tolerant big fish can be, must be who they grow up with. Good luck - keep an eye on your tank "mix".....
