I know there a few threads on these fish already, but not the info I'm looking for. I'm acquiring 2 7-8" A. orbicularis 'bumble bee ' in a trade. I've been doing quite a bunch of research on these oscars and can't find much info. Checked mongabay and cichlid forum, neither sites have the fish listed. I'd like to know what river they are native to, so I can make a biotope of the river system. I'd like to find out what other fish are native to the same waters. Any info is appreciated.

While considered a junior synonym of A. ocellatus currently, the type location of A. orbicularis when it was described was Santarem, Para, Brazil.

Thanks. That's more info than I could find. Santarem is right where the Tapajos river meets the Amazon. Might be a challenge to figure out if A. orbicularis is found in both rivers, or just one.
