I noticed one of my wilds would not come out to eat. I know that the eggs won't hatch, nor do I want them to, but it makes me a little proud knowing I must be doing something right. my first try with discus and wilds no less. for all those who think that discus are impossible to keep, they are like any other fish. a bit more maintenence, quality food, and the right tank mates are all thats needed.

I think my water is too hard. my tank is for show only. don't want to get into setting up breeding tanks. I don't have the room and breeding discus is very time consuming. plus wilds are the hardest to breed.

Nice one Danny! Same here, I get eggs every 4 weeks or so, always get eaten overnight but it's still nice knowing that your keeping the tank in tip top condition :D

How hard is the water. You'd be surprised at how hard it can actually be. Weather they get eaten or not is probably a bigger question.

Awesome!!!! I had a pair lay 2 weeks ago, but it was her first spawn so her eggs were'nt sticking. I was still pretty stoked to actually see two off my fish breeding.................

problem solved. she ate them. what surprised me it that with all the wood in my tank she would lay the eggs on the intake tube.
