I've seen Endli keep external gills at different time length's. Not to sure about Del's.

Ok thanks Bud I was just curious Gucci's so pretty and I like his external gills it adds to his appearance

My ornate lost his then they came back then went away again. My weeksii kept his till he was 8"

My del went through his external gill phase fairly quickly

My Weeksii took forever, here it is at 7" when I got it

Can still see bits of the external gills even at this size!

He will loose them pretty quickly. Mine were both 6+" in 6 months. They were gone around 4" so I'd say 4 months give or take. Mine were both about 2" when I got them.

Man I wish our local lfs had something other than Senegals I found Gucci at a place up in Lexington, they had an ornate too but I didn’t have the 70$ for him at the time
