In the water
how do they hold up being outside thinking about getting one thats 15ft wide and 4 ft deep at walmart. just worry the sun would make it get warped over time.

how long do they usually last before they go bad?

thanks,
jc

How does a pool hold up outside? Fine ha. Intex metal pools are great above ground pools.

Just be carefull these pools gets hot very easily. Then algae will grow so fast. Water will turn green.
I had these problem. When.i was redoing my koi pond.i place them.in to 10 feet by 30" index pool , first week was ok after than start getting algae so fast i see water is gets hot fast during the day times. Even.i had uv light still water turn realy green.
Ucan use it but put a shape on it othervise u will have same.problems,
Good luck

I set up my intex pool in the garage so that I can better manage temperature with insulation pads on the floor and wrapped around the pool I also use several 55 gallon drums as the filters kinda complicated to explain but I've never tried to set them up outside with fish because the temp fluctuates too much for me

. Sorry for dots hehe I was just trying to edit and say if properly taken care of they can last years

Do not get the blow up ring ones. The Sun burned the ring during summer... then it cracked during winter. Wasn't a fun way to scope out over hundred baby rosys. I agree with the green water problem. I also had a UV but once it turned green I never saw in it again.

If you had real good filtration and kept it in the shade you could be OK. Maybe even keep a cover on it.
Those native fish shouldn't mind a small temp difference. Imo
