Does this sound good enough for the fish I plan on Stocking ?

So here is the setup when complete:
300 gallon stock tank,
attachment.php
63" x 69" x 25"

Stock:
3 Giant Rapheals, 1 Sailfin Pim,
2 Spotted Rapheals, 2 Black Ghost Knives, 2 Koi, and 2 large goldfish(1 shubunkin and 1 watonai ).

Filtration:
30 gallon tote that will have about 1100gph drizzling out of sides of a pipe onto 4 layers of filter pads for bio and mechanical, water then hits lava rock and 40 Liters of seachem matrix, None of this will be submerged, water then rests into a settling chamber where it pours out of the tote and into a filter sock and then into the stock tank again.

Location: Indoors

Heating: Two 200 watt stealth heaters , opposite sides of tank of each other.

Lid: To conserve moisture and heat loss a clear tarp.

Hides: At least One per catfish and knivefish.

Water Changes: 30-50% twice a month.

Plants: Plastic and a live peacelilly planted so it floats, and live Hornwort.

Lighting: 8 hrs a day, 2 48 inch flouresecents 6500k and/or two cfl's 6500k.

Air Pumps/ Bubblers: two, on opposite ends below each heater to better circulate heat from heaters.

ThanK YOU.

Yah I was considering the gravel vac idea, it be bare bottom for easy clean up, or a fineholed net to scoope out poo.

But it would be better to do 30% weekly bringing total to 120% water change per month than the 60 -100% per month total from 30-50% twice a month/every other week.

great idea!

i would loose the lava rock though, its not a very efficient bio media compared to porous ceramic media on the market.

the info given is based on this sticky here: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88677

i would also use power heads instead of air powered air stones. power heads will create a lot more circulation, as opposed to ur typical ''bubbler''.

Thanks Death Sting, Ill be looking into that. This is the reason I posted this.

It wont be finished for a while, I have at least half of what I need, it is just the fish stock won't be complete for 6 or more months, want to add fish gradually and when money is available , and I have yet to set it up , but when I do get started Ill Inform everyone with pics on a new thread.

Ill change the lava rock to bio bale and/or pot scrubbies.

Goodnight ZZZZZZZZZZZ
