I was changing the water on my little 29 Gal Mantis tank. (2 Mantis, 2 anomones, 3 clowns, feather dusters, and a few coral) At the same time I was acclimating my new Armatus tank and setting up another tank. I grabbed the wrong "jug of water and started filling my 29 up with fresh :(. I noticed after I put about 3 1/2 gallons in. (it is obvious when you mix the 2)... I only had about 8 gallons in the tank at the time. Of course I took care of everything immediately. LOL, Manti and Tyson (my 2 mantis) were like wtf!!!
Not saying anyone else on here would make the same mistake, just wanted to give a heads up that no matter how much experience you have (over 18 years for me) mistakes can still be made. I fly airplanes and I am into securtiy so I am a very attentive person. It is so unlike me to make that kind of mistake. I was terrified!! Imagine if I never would've noticed in my hussle!!!
Just rememebr to keep your heads clear!!!!

yea i overfilled my 55 with my python once i caught it real quick but with 50 feet of hose to run to the sink it still ook a minute.

what about forgetting to glue one section of your diy overflow, only to knock it loose while cleaning? I am sure I am the only person dumb enough to forget to glue a section of pvc.

The day I first got my marine tank....I filled it with freshwater...didnt even think about it for almost an hour and then I feaked...almost fried all the live rock...not creatures were in there yet luckily :screwy:

never forgot again

Put a better title on the threads better please... i'm sure the majority of people on this forum have FS setups only :-D

AT least everything came out alright though.

Yeah, can't say I've ever really had that problem. Forgetting to take the hose out or filling up the tank too much, now thats a different story. . .

can't say I'm not guilty of that either!
